Ashley graduated the Business Management & Entrepreneurship program at Atlantic Business College with honours in 2012. After working in management for a few years she was left feeling unfulfilled. At that time she became very interested in Natural medicine due to her own health issues that allopathic medicine hadn’t solved. She was interested in the possibility of becoming an Acupuncturist, but one day while at a wellness fair she found the Atlantic School of Reflexology. Being a firm believer that “Everything happens for a reason”, she enrolled in their Foot Reflexology course after winning a gift certificate to help pay for it. During the first day of the course Ashley immediately knew she wanted to become a Reflexologist. She was amazed by what you could learn by touching people’s feet! Ashley completed her Diploma in December of 2020 and has been practicing ever since. While she believes Reflexology is great for relaxation, she likes to focus more on the therapeutic approach when treating clients. She is so passionate about Reflexology, she joined her professional association(ACART) as a board member and served as a director for a little over two years. From the time she began her Reflexology training she researched natural ways to treat her own health issues. That research led her to Naturopathic Doctors who she worked with to treat health issues that regular doctors didn’t fix. Ashley wanted to help her clients with Natural Medicine the way she was helped so she enrolled in a Naturopathy course. She completed her Naturopathy training with the Academy of Professional Naturopaths and Naturotherapists in May 2025. Some common health concerns Ashley has helped people improve with Reflexology & Naturopathy are: plantar fasciitis, sciatica, sleep issues, stress/anxiety, PTSD, pain, arthritis, headaches & digestive issues such as acid reflux, heartburn, IBS, constipation, menopause, etc.

Hi! I’m Mike, and I’m thrilled to join Whole Body Balance as your new acupuncturist. My journey into acupuncture started in a very personal way. Seeing the positive changes in my son, who is on the autism spectrum, inspired me to explore this ancient healing practice and its holistic benefits. That curiosity led me to pursue formal training in acupuncture. I studied at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto for four years, earning my diploma, and then spent another year at a shiatsu school, focusing on advanced Japanese acupuncture techniques. After completing my studies, I ran my own clinic in Ontario for 12 years, helping people with everything from chronic pain and anxiety to digestive issues and sleep concerns. Over the years, I’ve learned that acupuncture isn’t just about easing symptoms—it’s about helping people find balance and overall well-being in their lives. A few years ago, my family and I went on a cross-Canada road trip, and we fell in love with the East Coast’s stunning scenery and warm communities. That’s why we decided to make it our home, and I’m excited to be part of this vibrant region. I specialize in Japanese acupuncture, which is gentle, calming, and very client-centered. It’s perfect for anyone sensitive to needles or simply looking for a soothing, restorative experience. I see healing as a partnership. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your goals, and I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. My aim is to help you achieve balance and wellness in your life. Whether you’re new to acupuncture or have tried it before, I invite you to come by and experience it for yourself. Your well-being is my top priority, and I look forward to supporting you on your health journey. Looking forward to meeting you soon! — Mike
